In this post, I will be listing down a few reasons on why we have to save the wildlife or conserve them.
- Wildlife populations suffered from extreme losses or even extinction due to pollution. Water pollution can affect the marine animals life, especially when there's an oil spill. The oil spillage will cause them to have difficulty in breathing which will then may lead to death. A decline in certain kind of species, can affect the whole food chain.
- There has been an increase for people's demand for food, like sharks for their fins. Fishermen would kill the sharks for the fins, and throwing the body away in the sea, it will be such a waste.
- Animals like elephants are being killed for their trunks, which is for a display in people's home. Other animals like leopards and cheetahs, are killed for their skin, to be used as a carpet. Some are even killed to make clothes or handbags. These stuff may tell other people on how rich you are, but it also shows that you supporting these killing of animals for your own benefit, for you to look good in the public.
- Extinction is forever. If an animal were to extinct right now, future generations won't be able to see the animal anymore. They will only be able to look at pictures and try to imagine how the animal was like in the past.
- Due to the actions done by people and people populations, the extinction rate has increased. Forest are cleared out to create new towns to accommodate people, and this will in the end disrupt the animal's habitat, which will leave them stranded with no place to live in.
- Rhinoceros are killed for their horns which are being used for medicinal purpose.
